Joseph B. Carragher D.O., FACC, FSCAI
Personal History
Dr. Carragher was born and raised in Western New York.  He completed his undergraduate and graduate education at SUNY Geneseo and SUNY at Buffalo, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He subsequently graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL. Dr. Carragher completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Largo Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete his Cardiology fellowship training at Largo Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Fellow.  His Interventional Cardiology training was completed at Largo Medical Center, where he gained experience in complex coronary interventions and percutaneous peripheral vascular interventions.  Â
Dr. Carragher joined the Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants in 2026. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. His practice areas of interest include clinical cardiology, prevention of cardiovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, complex coronary artery intervention, percutaneous peripheral interventions, and diagnostic imaging, including echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Â
Dr. Carragher is available to see patients in the Clearwater and Bardmoor offices. Â
